How to Use Our Products to Treat Traction Alopecia
You have traction alopecia and you want to know how you can use our products to help control it and potentially regrow your edges. I don’t think we need an intro beyond this, let’s dive right in.
Setting Expectations
- Catching it early is key. If you notice thinning edges, breakage along the hairline, or tiny bumps on the scalp, that’s the time to act. At this stage, hair follicles are stressed but not permanently damaged, meaning regrowth is possible.
- When it may be too late: If the scalp looks shiny, smooth, and there are no visible hair follicles, it usually means scarring has occurred. Unfortunately, once follicles are scarred, hair cannot grow back naturally.
- What to expect: With consistent care, many people see improvements over several months. Progress is gradual—you may first notice less breakage and irritation, then fine baby hairs starting to return along the edges.
The earlier you intervene, the higher your chances of reversing traction alopecia.

Step 1: Use the Scalp Elixir as Your Pre-Wash Treatment
The Scalp Elixir nourishes the follicles and creates the ideal foundation for regrowth. It is important to use this product frequently, around 2-3 times a week.
- If you wash once a week:
- Apply the Scalp Elixir throughout your scalp before washday.
- On two additional days in the week, apply it just to your hairline, massage it in, leave it on for about an hour, then gently wipe it off with a lukewarm microfiber towel.
- If you wash 2–3 times a week:
- Apply the Scalp Elixir before each washday as a pre-wash scalp treatment.

Step 2: Apply the Leave-In Scalp Spray Daily
The Leave-In Scalp Spray refreshes, soothes, and keeps the scalp balanced, while also supporting follicle health. It allows you to address your scalp needs even on non-wash days.
- Mist it directly onto your scalp every day.
- Pay extra attention to thinning areas like the hairline and crown.
- Massage gently to boost absorption and encourage circulation.

Step 3: Be Gentle with Styling
Even with the right routine, your progress can stall if you continue wearing tight styles. To protect fragile edges and thinning areas:
- Avoid braids, ponytails, or buns that pull on the scalp.
- Opt for looser, low-tension styles instead.
- If wearing scarves, wraps, or headbands, make sure they’re not tied tightly.
